Research Fields and Interests
Our research interestis focused on Herterocyclic Chemistry, Organophophosphorus Chemistry and Pesticidal Chemistry, especially onnew synthetic method for biologically active heterocycliccompounds. The main research content is as follows:
1. Synthesis of potentially biological active herterocyclic compounds via aza-Wittig reaction or catalytic aza-Wittig reactions.We have developed several efficient synthetic methods for various heterocyclesand fused heterocycles. These heterocycles include 4H-imidazol-4-ones,4(3H)-quinazolinonoes, thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones, oxazoles,benzimidazoles, thiazoles, pyrimidines, imidazoles, etc. Further synthesis ofother new heterocyclic system by using I-MCR/aza-Wittig sequence is still onprogress.
2. Design and synthesis of new heterocycles with potential fungicidal activities. The fungicidal activities of triazole compounds with sterol inhibitory activity, imidazole compounds with mitochondrial respiratory inhibitory activity and new lead compounds with potent inhibitive activity on Scytalone Dehydratase ofrice blast fungi are investigated and some of lead compounds are found. The relationship between biological activities and structure of the heterocycle is also our interest.
